Michel Vivien is a French luxury shoe designer. After years of working with some of the most glamourous luxury brands among Christian Dior, Lanvin and Yves Saint Laurent for his ultimate show, he launches his own brand in 1998. As a real craftsman, he creates passionately collections that are at once daring, feminine, and timeless, always with a concern for comfort, luxury and tradition.

Sobriety is my high point. I try to balance women in this crazy thing that is to be on heels. I operate according to my desires. My style is timeless, I go through the seasons beautifully.

How would you describe Michel Vivien shoes?

A shoe is made to move and not to stand still. I forbid myself to make you suffer to embellish you. I never deviate from the original function of the object, which is why I have 3 obsessions: Quality, comfort and elegance.
